In captain Jimmy's pirate ship

the one you're going to sail on too

It's been months now we're sailing on

until we reach Peru somewhere

the cargo will be smoke and gone

We sail a sea completely crammed

with all kinds of weird plants nonplus

an olden sun is staring us

at times he's winking at the damned

The holds are empty and so bleak

A thousand tons where could have gone?

Awaiting are pipes void and meek

and Chile customs further on

The Northern Star we have forgot

the anchors are long lost in sea

adown the ratlines lined up squat

a dozen sirens ¹ hanging free

The mermaid figurehead one night

she jumped the ocean amply canned

abreast squiring her out of sight

the five Columbus's condemned ²

And later off Ancora's ³ reef

let angry waves a crowd beget

of crimson beasts beyond belief

with seagull wings their heads beset
