The wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by the unrighteousness they suppress the truth. For although they knew God, they did not honor Him or give thanks to Him.

They became futile in their thinking. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie and worshipped and served the creature rather than the Creator who is blessed forever.
