蛋佬的棉袄 [Dànlǎo de mián'ǎo] [English translation]
蛋佬的棉袄 [Dànlǎo de mián'ǎo] [English translation]
He has no one to depend on, living at the corner of the street.
Everyone calls him "Eggman".
He has a coat that he never wants to discard,
Saying it's the treasure his mother gave him.
He's always vexed at his rebellion when he was young,
All the time complained about mother's nagging.
These years, he's been depending on the gold bar in the coat.
Even selling eggs is rather better than begging.
He's just waiting for the reunion
To fulfil his wish of returning home.
No matter he lives well or not,
He must save enough money
For mother to spend her remaining years.
But it's said Eggman's mother died early,
No one can find where she's buried.
He hates himself not having repaid her.
Roars every night, composing a mournful tune at midnight.
He has no one to depend on, living at the corner of the street.
No one dares to knock his door any more.
In any season, he will never take off the coat,
Which he says to be the treasure his mother gave him.
