El rey te mandó a llamar [English translation]
David summoned Siba and asked him:
Is there anyone from Saul’s household whom I can help?
I was remembering the covenant I made with my friend Jonathan,
And I want to show mercy honoring our friendship.
Siba replied:
Ah! There’s one, my lord, Who lives in Lodebar, Land of sadness and pain,
where wickedness reigns, misery is a reality.
It’s a land with no dreams, a dreaded place.
David asks Siba:
Tell me more about this man, Please tell me his name.
My lord, his name is Mephiboset, but he cannot walk,
He’s handicapped, he can’t even drag himself.
Send for this man, because I want to speak with him.
Tell Mephiboset that the King sent for him.
(And looking into his eyes he told him):
What belonged to you, I’ll give it back to you. I’ll restore what life stole from you.
The last in Saul’s household will no longer be the one whom no one gives value.
You’ll live in the King’s house,
you’ll eat at the King’s table,
You’ll wear the King’s clothes,
you’ll sit beside the King.
You will no longer live in misery,
you’ll say goodbye to Lodebar.
Your life will never be the same.
The King sent for you.
