1. MySpace was a social network that was still very popular in 2009, when the song was released.2. In some of the earliest translations of the comic, Superman was called in Italian "Nembo Kid".3. The Common Man's Front (where the expression "uomo qualunque" can mean "common man" , but also "anybody") was a political party born at the end of WW2, which claimed not to be aligned with any other party and to defend the interests of the "common man". Their political view was focused on anti-politics: they declared themselves anti-communists, anti-fascists, and even anti-anti-fascists. The party itself survived only for 3 years, but left some important traces in Italian, with words like "qualunquismo" and "qualunquista" (meaning, in a political sense, political apathy, and in a broader sense, a complete indifference towards the field in question and/or the utter unwillingness of being even remotely well informed about that given field).4. Can also mean "rash".5. As said above, "uomo qualunque" can mean both "common man" or "anybody".6. Wordplay on the word "qualunquista", term originally derived of the "Common Man's Front", where the word "qualunque" ("anybody") is substituted with "qualcuno" ("somebody").7. Uses an idiom that goes literally "get under the leg", pun with the previous "get a foothold".8. Italia 1 is a TV channel where, for a period, advertisement about TV programmes was introduced by a clip sent by viewers where they would say or scream "Italia 1".9. There could be one more wordplay, given that the word "Pansa" could also mean "belly", and linked to the previous "think", it could refer to an idiom that goes "reason with one's belly", used to indicate someone who will rather follow their first instincts than think things through. Giorgio Bocca and Giampaolo Pansa are here put one next to the other, as the first was a partisan during WW2, while the latter criticised partisan movements.11. Pun between the words "testimone" ("baton") and "testimonial" ("poster face").12. "Libero" is a conservative news paper, which has often been criticised for its far-right positions and accused of spreading misinformation. "Gin Fizz" was a porn magazine.14. H.P. stands for "Henri Paul": head of security at the Ritz, and driver of the car which crashed, causing the death of Lady Di and Dodi Fayed, as well as Paul himself.15. Endemol is an important Italian television production and distribution company: basically what decides who goes on TV and thus becomes "somebody".
