They sat us in foamy seats

And strapped our bodies tight

And closed the hatch above our heads

And fastened the bolts from the outside

Helms our heads sucked in like leeches

And from the world separates us the monstrous belly

If anything can be heard, it's in the headphones,

If anything can be seen, it's in the monitors.

Into silent dark expanse of the sky they shot us out

And looked until they were certain that

We vacuous in weightlessness.

Where delayed reach us voices from the Earth,

Where nominal mood, normal nausea,

In range slowness, brain ischemia.

In the exact same stage of maturity,

In which we've been shot out into this bottomless crater;

With the exact intelligence about our fate,

That is given to us by the coordinator.

Only sound his or speaker's voice,

On screens a thicket of graphs and calculations -

What force does the nuclear stack give,

How much powdered meat we eat and sweets.

We're not going to explore unknown stars

Nor from alien planets snatch grams of dirt;

Our greatest target, generally speaking, is:

CONSISTENT CONTINUATION OF THE PROGRAMME!

Silent dark expanse of the skies surrounds us

And none of us despairs yet, that

We in vacuum, in weightlessness -

Items, thoughts, words orbit somewhere inert;

That automatons went into the state of infallibility

And they know all precisely!

That spread out portions of our activity,

That time is long before we step back on Earth!
