At the bottom of the sea

There are mountains, ravines

Cities, cemeteries

There are wrecks in the sea

In the hollows

Among the long-fingered rushes

There are men in the sea

Sleeping women

There are children in the sea

To cover all this

There are waves in the sea

Drinking in the moon

There is foam, too

Bark, torn letters

Flowers drifting away

There are birds above the sea

Great white birds

With eyes just like drops of water

Voiceless birds

Flying in circles with their beak open

Suddenly diving into the endless waters

Wings folded close to their body, just like two arms

Rustling while the water drips off

There are strands along the sea

Seashells and salt

And old sailors who never sail anymore

Who disembarked, but left again

For non-stop journeys

There is the sun on the sea

And you, on the shore

Watching as it sinks into the water
