갓 스무살이 됐던 난

고등학교 졸업식 참석도 못하고

올라탔던 비행기

14시간의 비행 끝에 밟았던 땅

그곳은 New York

all those tall buildings and fancy places,

shining blocks in New York

New place and new faces

참 어렸었네 난 아무것도 모른채

신기하고 새로웠네 모든게

각자 다른 환경 속 자라

한데 모여서 살아

모두 다른 문화 인종

그중 나는 동양인

가끔은 사는것보단 살아남는 마음이야

더욱 느끼던 말

세상엔 없지 공짜

그래서 깨달았던

베품에 대한 감사

많은걸 듣고 보고

쌓은 값진 경험

New York City의 화려한 밤

과 함께 커져간 내 야망

먹고 싶은거 맘껏

입고 싶은 옷도 맘껏
