There was once a great stir in a city

an incredibly beautiful play was being staged

everyone had a good time, although there was an exception.

A young lady in the first row didn`t care for anything

not even for a singer who sang only for this lady

and when he was loosing his reason for her, she laughed, she clapped

In the second act the singer sang much more cautiously

the young lady however still was not serious

untill the moment, when suddenly, suddenly in the middle of the play

the words were spoken:

Don`t romp, my dear don`t romp

after all you are not so wonderful

Not at once, my dear, not at once

not at once you will melt the ice of my heart

Another time i was invited to the opening of the exhibition

for expositions late in the night in the deep cellars

Where there canvas of master Jan or Kanty*

I can`t remember.

There were big paintings, colourful canvas

moody sketches of immodest women

fortunately they were the still life

There was also another moment, that I won`t forget

there was dreamy evening and vain hopes

because of the girl at the back of the hall similar to a rose

whose dance shattered the sacred peace of my heart

Then unusual, amazing incident occurred

I don`t know myself how it was

it`s difficult to recount

all I remember today is

how I sang to her:

"Lips are silent, the soul sings

lips are silent, the world sounds"

but the girl didn`t hear

busy with her dance already

while dancing she sang to someone what I remember so well
