Preguntitas sobre Dios [English translation]
Preguntitas sobre Dios [English translation]
One day I asked:
Grandpa, where's God?
My grandpa got sad
and said nothing to me
My grandpa died in the fields
no prayer or confession
He was buried by the natives
reed flutes and drums
Then I asked:
Dad, what do you know about God?
My dad got serious
and said nothing to me
My dad died in the mine
no doctor or protection
The boss's gold is the same
color as the miner's blood!
My brother lives by the hills
but has never seen any flowers
Sweat, mosquitoes, and snakes,
the life of a lumberjack
And nobody asks him
if he knows where God is.
Such an important gentleman
has never passed by his house
I sing for the roads,
and when I'm imprisoned
I hear the people's voices
that I sing better than myself
There's an issue on Earth
more important than God
It's that nobody bleeds so that
someone else can live better
Does God protect the poor?
Maybe, but maybe not.
But one thing is certain
He eats at the boss's table.
