That could reclaim from death's hand

A pulse faded long ago, in a far off land

Where is ambitious hope now

The seemingly simple step beyond

Between the cracks and crevices

Lie the whispers of the winds calling

Calling, searching for signs within

Only to be beguiled by echoes empty

Confinded in corridors narrow

A prison for the ever departed

Ensnaring the faulted mortal

With a continuing malevelence

A concentration of power sought

That was better left behind

So corruption deteriorates on

Where there is but shadows and dust

Millennia will render to piles of dust

Resolved in breaths of time's spanning

And what was briefly stayed

Will inexorably come to pass
