On top of the glistening water surface,

I soar against the wind, immersed

I let my wings flutter,

Let’s go to that town,

Going past the oceans

Yes, I am a small swallow

In the town I arrived at, I came upon

The voices of people who appear to be having fun,

And the voice of a friend who is in sorrow

Everyone has a different way of life

Why is it that we end up hurting each other without realising,

While wanting to protect one-another?

Under the same sky

We all live colourful lives

And live together in this place

While humans, plants, flowers and birds

Lean on and support one-another,

And despite what we wish for

Is different to the future I picture,

If we join together hand in hand,

I’m sure the days when we can all laugh together will come, so

I wonder what it is that I can do now

Behind the wealth that someone received,

Is a friend who had his home taken from him

When in truth, all he wanted was to be close with them,

And live

Even if you are engulfed in sad feelings,

And your heart is being stained black,

By forgiving, and by acknowledging,

We can connect with one-another

What we can do now,

Even if that alone doesn’t change everything,

You see, if we can just add just a little bit of vibrant colour

Into someone’s day,

Even if it’s not something like shining jewels,

Or gold leaves,

If the world overflows with these small bits of love in this way,

Then, you see, something should change,

Under the same sky, someday, I’m sure of it.

That, is the big dream of my small self....
