Wspomnienie [English translation]

The sun was already going out, the sky seemed to be lowering, tightening

And getting closer and closer to the earth

Until opposite the moon, one star, two stars glitttered

It's already thousand, already million of them twinkling.

Pondering Tadeusz made a few steps,

When something got in his way, he looked, he sees a ghost;

She had slim, beautifully shaped waist, alluring breasts,

Material, pink, silky dress;

In which reflected the shivering moonshine,

And coming closer to him, she whispered:

"Ungrateful...

You've been looking for my look, now you're avoiding it.

Ungrateful...

You've been looking for opportunities to talk to me, now you're closing your ears."

"But realize you yourself, they see us, spy on us,

Can we be so open, what will the people say,

It's indecent after all, for God's sake, it's a sin..."

"You are a man, you'll find more worthy lover,

You'll find richer and more beautiful...

And only for my consolation, let me know before we part,

That your inclination was the real loving..."

"Have I loved? We spent short whiles together,

And though they passed so sweet and nice to me,

I cannot stay any longer, it's a resolution,

And though I'd like to stay here, I won't change it anymore".

"But let me hear once more the words "I love",
