Into It. Over It. covers “Assassination On X-Mas Eve”

While a deep-cut from Archers Of Loaf’s 1996 album All The Nation’s Airports might not be a traditional holiday tune, Into It. Over It.’s Evan Weiss makes a compelling case for it being added to any holiday playlist. Weiss originally recorded a cover of the song for Arbor Christmas, a Christmas compilation that donates all its proceeds to cancer research and has been going for 15 years. That sense of giving makes Weiss’ new, stripped-down version of “Assassination On X-Mas Eve” reflect the generosity of the season, making a good deed out of something as violent as the murder of Santa himself.
