Ryan Murphy has taken to Instagram to announce the creation of the Ryan Murphy Productions Assistance Fund to support the cast and crew of any Ryan Murphy show, past or present, during the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.

Murphy is the creator behind a myriad of popular shows including Glee, American Horror Story, American Crime Story, Pose, Hollywood and more. To provide financial assistance to his entertainment industry colleagues who are currently out of work, the veteran showrunner and producer jumpstarted the fund with an out-of-pocket donation of $500,000.

Every story weve woven, each character brought to life, and every set constructed carry with them an inimitable thread of collaboration, Murphy wrote on Instagram in recognition of his co-workers.

He continued in his post, As my colleagues face the challenges brought forth by the 2023 WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, the imperative to support each other is even more pronounced. In recognition of this, I am inaugurating an assistance fund that will start at $500,000. This fund stands ready to support the exceptional casts and committed crews of Ryan Murphy Productions.

Murphy directed those in need to visit the link in his bio, ryanmurphyrroductions.com/assist, to learn more about accessing the fund. The website includes an application where industry workers can describe the role they filled on a Ryan Murphy show and request an amount of money to assist them, along with a description of their needs.

Together, we will navigate through this chapter, and before long, well once again create, inspire, and innovate within the industry we love, Murphy concluded his statement.
