The Night Agent debuted in the top position of Nielsens streaming rankings for the week of March 20-26. The Netflix political thriller was watched for 2.6 billion minutes in its first four days of availability, which according to Nielsen, makes it the 38th most watched streaming title in a measurement since 2020.
While impressive, the news is unsurprising the series has soared on the Netflix Top 10, which publishes immediately following each viewing window, rather than with Nielsens four-week delay. By Netflixs own measurement, The Night Agent has already become the streamers sixth most popular English-language series of all time.
Interestingly, Nielsen says that The Night Agent is the oldest-skewing title on the list this week, with 60% of viewers over age 50.
At No. 2 was the Netflix fantasy series Shadow and Bone, which returned for its second season on March 16. The series was watched for 1 billion minutes in its first full week of availability.
South Park came in at No. 3 with 831 million minutes watched. The series regularly makes the Top 10 as fans rewatch on HBO Max. Similarly, NCIS followed with 797 million minutes streamed across both Netflix and Paramount+.
At No. 5 was The Mandalorian, during which the fourth episode of Season 3 debuted. The series was watched for 795 million minutes from March 20 to 20, which marks a significant drop from the 1.1 billion minutes it charted the previous week.
The No. 6 and No. 7 positions went to frequently watched childrens series: Cocomelon with 775 million minutes and Bluey with 744 minutes.
Waco: American Apocalypse, the Netflix docuseries about the 1993 Waco siege, debuted at No. 8 with 738 million minutes watched in its first five days of availability. At No. 9 with 691 million minutes was the Netflix reality series Love is Blind. The series first five episodes were available for three days of the March 20-26 viewing window.
Rounding out the chart was Greys Anatomy with 610 million minutes watched on Netflix.
