Með Vindinum Kemur Kvíðinn [English translation]
Með Vindinum Kemur Kvíðinn [English translation]
In the west, the winter is heavy,
hovers over the settlements and time passes.
With sunless days, a sad voice
Doesn't everyone dream of the flowers of the sky?
The roads get closed, the winter is raging
There is no protection and the village is crippled.
People look to the mountain side, they see nothing.
The sky and the earth merge into one.
For a great many days, the snow kept falling.
Snow soft as down, this white peace.
In the twilight the village seemed so small,
then the wind started blowing from another direction.
And with the wind comes the disquiet.
Outside is the blizzard, black as coal.
And the mountain, it screams. Then the whole mountain side falls
and the houses vanish into the snow.
For a moment, time stood still,
then it rushed in through windows and doors.
Carried hopes away, tore up roots.
Somewhere, an angel is crying.
Why here? - people ponder and ask
Questions are flowing, where should one start?
The people are calling on you, Christ.
The pain is piercing brothers and sisters.
The tears are a way to heal the wounds.
Life is but these moments.
The clockwork of life it keeps on ticking
and we learn to live with the sorrow.
And with the wind comes the disquiet.
Outside is the blizzard, black as coal.
And the mountain, it screams. Then the whole mountain side falls
and the houses vanish into the snow.
And with the wind comes the disquiet.
Outside is the blizzard, black as coal.
And the mountain, it screams. Then the whole mountain side falls
and the houses vanish into the snow.
And the mountain, it screams. Then the whole mountain side falls
and the houses vanish into the snow.
