Науки юношей [Nauki yunoshey] [English translation]
Науки юношей [Nauki yunoshey] [English translation]
Knowledge nourishes the youth,
Yet each one of them is like a boa
That flies away from his land
With a watering can on his head.
He is clad in dog's clothes
That are brighter than the sun.
He soars proudly in the skies,
Knowing literally nothing.
He's above the river with a tree above it,
Where fishes fall to the bottom.
And there's a maiden wandering in the bushes,
With every sight of her clearly seen.
So, in the fit of youthful passion,
He drops down on the maiden,
Screaming, tearing her apart
And groping her tender sides.
A winter passes, and the summer will come,
And everything would feel not right to him;
He threatens the maiden with a gun
And still puts his coat in a hurry.
Farewell, you villain, you upper being,
Bite the wires with your teeth;
From now on, you shall never ever see
The freedom of the infant.
