A gray area

Between pure and impure1

Between a spade with which to dig, and the discovery of light

A gray area

And it is a choice to choose

Between selling thy birthright, Esau or Jacob

And as through not engaging in (the Torah) for my own sake, I will come to engage in (the Torah) for its own sake2

Am I honest with myself, or is this just guilt?

And how again I return to the same talk

about truth and the essence of life

A gray area

Between black and white3

Between a sea of darkness, and a drop of light

A no man's land

There's neither a sign nor recognition

And what is the connection, between the poem and the poet

Between the suns

It's hard, but it is possible to see

Inside a sea of darkness
