Ты моё море [Ty moyo more] [English translation]
Ты моё море [Ty moyo more] [English translation]
[Verse 1]:
Beyond the mountains of apathy and sorrow, you're my ocean.
When my mind isn't in accord with my heart, you're my ocean.
When my music is coming out flat,1 you're my ocean.
When only thieves surround me, you're my ocean.
When the air becomes fouled with the world's evils,2
You'll bring me pure nectar to drink - you're my ocean.
And when my body burns up and my reason fails
I'll plummet into you as a ball of flames, for you're my ocean!
Ocean...
[Verse 2]:
When the colors around you become vibrant - there's a love story.
In Italian, a more mio means "you're my ocean".3
I don't ask for love or tenderness, for nobody should argue with their fate.
Somebody else is just a swamp covered in duckweed, but you're the ocean!
Ocean!
You're my ocean! You're my ocean!
You're my ocean! You're my ocean!
You're my ocean... You're my ocean...
You're my ocean... You're my ocean...
You're my ocean...
You're my ocean...
1. "Соль минор" in English is G Minor, a musical scale which includes some flat notes. It sounds a bit strange in Russian, and a literal translation would sound even stranger, so I tried to translate with some play on words.2. "Перегар" refers to the smell of last night's alcohol, but I'm not aware of a direct translation in English.3. It actually doesn't. This is a play on words since "more" sounds like "море".
