A leaf has fallen on your road...

Wandering on the wing of wind,

You have seen it and at the same time

You crushed it by stepping over.

It had no voice to cry out after you,

Neither the power to say how it hurt.

And it has gone lost on the path

And rain and wind have passed over it.

It remained stuck to the ground, and wondered

What would it do if the wind would take it up

And, for a moment, would lay it in your lap ?

But, it stayed there, somewhere...

A leaf has fallen on your road

And who knows how many more will fall ?

But you would never know

And , it will not even cross your mind

That the first leaf that had fallen on your way
