La luna [English translation]

Suddenly one day

the moon got tired

to look at the world from above;

She caught a comet,

veiled her face

and to the bottom of the sky she walked.

And she got surprised

that the white expanse

wasn't snow.

They were just stones

and hurt her feet;

secretly weeping she fled.

Take on the world barefoot

can not be done

and from above she stayed watching it.

And she is no more surprised

that the white expanse

is not snow.
