As to dominate the earth and more

To hold dominion over all that is

Even to create fantasies contraire

But in life simplicity can truly be

What complexity will betray so

To the elements of environment

Those that move not to survive

The animals that must bear it out

Are condemned by weakness so

Then to perish in merciless rigor

Not to migrate, nor hibernate

Vegetation that may shrink back

To its very root, or seeds sown

Weary wilted limbs feigning demise

That mimic the departure of others

They are then reincarnated anon

For spring's warmth recalls them

Their spirits born anew unlike men

Soulless forms that return anew

A paradox of life's fated follies

That we learn of, but n'er really see

For simplicity is the form surviving
