حول يا غنام [Hawel ya ghannam] [English translation]

Come on herdsman change your way, sleep here this night

Oh herdsman for Allah sake tell me, where did you see my love

I promised the beloved in his mind to come and meet me

Oh herdsman, what's wrong with him, he doesn't come to meet me

Oh you're the most beautiful one in the Arabs, I swear by Allah and my religion

There on the way to the fountain, I saw the smart there

Oh herdsman may Allah extend you life, my life is brought to me again

Please tell me on which fountain had you seen him

Before you arrive, my heart were frying with his love fire

I haven't eaten nor drinken since two days

Oh sister of Arabs, may Allah give lover's heart patience

And gather you with your heart love for The Merciful* sake

And you get each other (marry) and live safely

Go there (to the fountain) may Allah be with you, and you meet him

Oh terra firma's gazelles, where my gazelle is roaming

Who of you would be pleased at me and relief my mind

Oh mountains, oh vally commiserate my condition

Oh spring Oh rills where is my love, where is he.
