من مكة للمدينة [Men Makka Lel Madina] [English translation]

From Mecca1 to Al-Madinah2 our prophet and his companion migrated

his companion, the truthful Abu Bakr, may Allah be pleased with him

Our prophet, The Chosen One (Al-Mustafa)3); ask for [Allah to confer] blessing upon him.

After the heathens plotted to kill him

Then they surrounded his house and said that his time has come

And tonight his time will be up

So the Imam [Ali]4 sacrificed himself for him and slept in his place

He knows his duties; he was the man of his time5

The heathens were sitting [put] waiting for his appearance

Not knowing that God will send his light

He dropped a veil on them; it blinded their eyes

And our prophet went out amidst them; nobody caught a glimpse of him

They went after him till the cave6; they arrived at where he is

The pigeons and the spider were guards on him

The truthful [Abu Bakr] became scared and our prophet calmed him

He told him do not fear for what God has preserved
